Elastic Email’s PieSync integration seamlessly connects with your existing apps and helps you to align all lead and customer data to prevent data errors. PieSync’s integration allows you to:

  • bi-directionally sync all contacts between Elastic Email and 180+ applications;

  • use workflows for leveraging data from different platforms.

How to connect to PieSync:

  1. Authorize both applications

To authorize your Elastic Email account, we need your API key. You can easily find this by clicking this link.

2. Select contact type (if applicable)

Elastic Email only has one contact type called ‘Contacts’ but some applications provide more than one contact type.

3. Configure Sync

A. Select one-way or two-way sync.

Besides our most popular two-way sync, PieSync also provides a one-way contacts sync.

Note: It is possible to create a bi-directional sync without creating contacts on both ends, if you want updates to go both ways, but don't want contacts to be created in both tools. You can set up the two-way arrows but turn off one of the connection rules.

B. Configure Connection rules.

The screenshot below is an example of the default sync that will sync all contacts both ways. Despite that this is totally customizable by using filters and actions.

  • Customized filter

Users have the option to filter based on

  • source,

  • status,

  • default fields,

  • custom fields,

  • customized action.

Users have the option to apply the following actions:

  • Update status,

  • update default fields,

  • update custom fields.

Note that updating default and custom field are also included in the field mapping but it might be useful to sometimes use the connection rules to update existing values in case the field type is different (i.e. Tagged customer in CRM, update Custom Field Type=customer)

C. Configure field mapping.

By default, PieSync will map as many fields as possible but field mapping is app dependent, so integrating Elastic Email with Pipedrive or Insightly might not have the same field mappings as with Copper.

Once you’ve turned the integration on, Elastic Email will automatically create and update existing and new contact details for an automatic real-time, 2-way leads or contacts sync.

Bi-directionally syncing is fundamentally different from integrations that rely on a trigger-action principle. PieSync processes not only new but also existing contact information and looks at the email address to smart match contacts.

Rich filters and customizable field mapping give you full control over how the sync will run in both directions. All data of contacts will be intelligently matched and merged so you end up with richer data to leverage in Elastic Email’s Journeys.

Which applications does PieSync support?

PieSync supports over 180+ applications and adds new apps every week. You can view the full list here.
