In this tutorial, we will show you how to configure your AcyMailing to send emails through the Elastic Email server.

Go to AcyMailing -> Configuration

1. Go to your Joomla! or Wordpress site administration panel
2. Go to Components -> AcyMailing -> Configuration
3. Scroll down to "Mail Settings" section
4. Choose "Using an external server" option

Elastic Email Preset option

Please note that the field defined as API Key by AcyMailing should be actually populated by your SMTP Password

At the moment AcyMailing provides a pre-set Elastic Email server configuration. Thanks to this option, the only thing you will need to input your SMTP username and password. These details can be found on your Settings>SMTP screen in Elastic Email Dashboard:

SMTP Server options

Please note that the "Keep alive" and "Authentication" options must be enabled for most reliable connection results.

You can use a custom SMTP connection option if that is more preferable to you. With this method you will have to input both your SMTP credentials and Elastic Email SMTP server details:

server: smtp.elasticemail.com

port: 2525

username: your SMTP username

password: your SMTP password

If there are connection issues, you should first try to connect using another port (our default port is 2525 but this one may be blocked by your hosting company. Check out our SMTP Configuration article for more information).

If any authentication problems are encountered, you can try an alternative SMTP configuration:

server: smtp25.elasticemail.com

port: 25

username: your SMTP username

password: your SMTP password

Congratulations! You now have AcyMailing configured with Elastic Email. Now you can start sending great email!
